Ellie Goulding wants to go “somewhere remote” in the New Year to start work on her new album.
The ‘Starry Eyed’ singer is looking forward to writing some new songs
for her second LP in 2011, but insists she needs to take some time out
of her hectic schedule and devote herself to the creative process.
The 23-year-old pop star – whose debut effort ‘Lights’ was released in
March 2010 - said: “I think we’re going off to America in 2011, but I
need to get somewhere quite remote and start the process of writing my
next record. I’m going to start in January.”
The British musician has also revealed her highlight of 2010 was when
she played the world famous Glastonbury music festival in June.
She added: “I remember a few years ago I tried to get on an open mic
stage at Glastonbury and I couldn’t even get on that bill, so to be
able to go and perform on the John Peel stage was really such an
honour, and I was really well received.
“I think that was the moment I thought, ‘This is it, I can really prove myself now.’ ”
