A woman was arrested Wednesday for the murder of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster, the Texas boy whose burned remains were found Tuesday in a drainage ditch. Authorities say Monda Yvette Nelson made a admitted to being with Jonathan, but she has not confessed to his murder.
Jonathan was last seen on Christmas Eve by his stepfather David Davis. The boy’s mother Angela Davis left him home alone at their Houston apartment. David checked in with the child around 1:45 p.m. that was the last time Jonathan was seen alive.
The Davis’ were questioned and cleared in Jonathan’s disappearance. "I never pointed the finger at anybody. I just said there's a time frame people came by and that's the people that came by. My husband took a polygraph, and he passed. He is not in it at all. He's innocent. He is just as distraught and upset as I am,” said Angela Davis.
Nelson is an acquaintance of the Davis family. She has a criminal record that includes theft, making a terroristic threat, aggravated robbery and marijuana possession. The Harris County District Attorney’s office has requested Nelson be denied bond.
