2 Injured After Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing

According to reports, 2 people were injured after a Delta Airlines flight experienced engine trouble and was forced to make an emergency landing. An airport spokesman said Delta flight 1921, which was carrying 225 passengers and crew members, landed in Colorado Springs, Colorado at 12:26 p.m. EST.

The plane was headed to Phoenix, Arizona from Detroit, Michigan when the crew reported engine trouble. The pilot landed the plane safely. Upon landing, an alert in the cockpit warned one of the Boeing 757’s breaking systems had overheated.

Emergency chutes were used to evacuate the plane. Two people sustained minor injuries during the evacuation. They were taken to a nearby hospital and treated.
