Casey Anthony Receiving Letters from Convicted Wife-Killer Scott Peterson

Casey Anthony, the 22-year-old Orlando woman jailed on charges related to the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony, has reportedly been receiving letters from infamous wife-killer Scott Peterson.

According to the Orlando Sentinel Casey Anthony has received letters from the man who was found guilty of killing his wife, Laci, and their unborn child three years ago. Scott Peterson is currently sitting on California’s death-row but has maintained his innocence in the case, something Casey Anthony has done in her own case.

While Casey Anthony has received letters her lawyers have said she is not corresponding with the convicted murderer.

Anthony entered a not guilty plea to charges that she killed her daughter earlier this week. While investigators have yet to find Caylee Anthony’s body they have uncovered evidence that has pointed to Casey Anthony as the killer. Hair samples and DNA evidence found in the trunk of a car driven by Casey Anthony has left Casey as the focus of the investigation.

Caylee Anthony disappeared in June, two months shy of her third birthday, but Casey didn’t report her missing for more than a month. She then told investigators that she had dropped her daughter off with a babysitter and when she returned to pick her up the two were gone. Investigators quickly determined that Casey was lying and began to focus on her as a likely suspect.

Casey Anthony is set to stand trial on Jan. 5, 2009 and if found guilty she could spend the rest of her lif in jail or receive the death penalty.
