Riverside County Sheriff's investigators want actress Lindsay Lohan charged with assault and battery for a physical altercation she had with a Betty Ford Center rehabilitation technician.
A two-week investigation revealed that had Lohan violated her probation during the altercation and details will be sent to the Los Angeles County Probation Department this week, said Riverside sheriff's Sgt. Joe Borja in a news release.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in Beverly Hills had made a prior ruling that Lohan would be jailed if she violated her probation. Investigators expect to take their case to the Riverside County district attorney's office this week for possible prosecution, Borja said.
Lohan returned to the Palm Desert dependency center east of Pam Springs drug on Dec. 12 after curfew and refused rehab worker Dawn Holland's request to take a Breathalyzer test. Lohan is accused of pushing Holland, who then dialed 911, and Lohan ripped the phone away and injured Holland's wrist.
