Austrian Hostages Freed in Mali after Months of Captivity

The Mali government has announced two Austrian hostages held captive by a North African branch of al-Qaeda have been freed following months of captivity.

Andrea Kloiber and Wolfgang Ebner disappeared last February while vacationing in Tunisia and the Islamic militants quickly claimed responsibility for the abduction.

There have been no details on the pairs release other than the Mali government and Austrian officials confirming their safety.
