Kerry Katona hopes 'Dancing On Ice' will mark a "fresh start" in her career.
The reality TV star - who has four children, Molly, nine, Lilly-Sue, seven, Heidi, three, and two-year-old Max - hopes viewers of the ITV1 show will judge her on her skating ability rather than on her past reputation.
She explained: "Everyone's got a past but it's a fresh slate for everybody.
"It's a new day, a new start, and I just don't think it would be fair for any of us, not just me, to be judged on our past."
Kerry - who is partnered with professional ice skater Dan Whiston - is also keen to make her kids proud by appearing in the series.
She added to Closer magazine: "I want to put a good memory in my kids' heads. I want them to say, 'I don't give a sh*t what you say, that's my mum and I'm proud'. That's all I want. I've put them through so much sh*t over the last few years.
"I don't want to let anyone down. I really am feeling the pressure now because my partner won last year. But as long as he knows I've done my best. I want my kids to feel dead proud of me."
