Tenacious D are recording a new album.
The 'Tribute' group - made up of Hollywood actor Jack Black and Kyle Gass - have announced they hope to have a new record ready for the end of the year, and that it will cover subjects including food and lovemaking.
Jack said: "We're gonna be talking about love. There's gonna be some songs about sex and there's gonna be songs about food.
"We're in the middle of recording it. We're about halfway through the writing process. We need another few months. But you can look for it at the end of 2011."
The last release by the group was the soundtrack to their film 'Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny', in 2006, which was a hit with fans, but did poorly at the box office, falling short of taking the $20 million it cost to make.
While 'Gulliver's Travels' star Jack has no plans for the group's third record to have an accompanying movie, hasn't ruled out another Tenacious D big screen adventure in the future.
Jack, 41, told website Spinner: "This is strictly a musical endeavour, but I would not rule out another film. Although it would probably be on the lower-budget."
