South Carolina Boy Shot and Killed While Trick-or-Treating

A 12-year-old boy from Sumter, South Carolina was shot and killed on Friday night while trick-or-treating with his family.

According to police reports the young boy was with his brother and father when they walked up to a house and a man inside opened fire. All three were hit by the gunfire and the 12-year-old was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested 22-year-old Quentin Patrick and have charged him with murder and assault and battery with intent to kill.

The father and brother were said to have received non-life-threatening wounds.
