Passengers on a Turkish Airlines flight from Norway to Turkey tackled another passenger threatening to detonate a bomb. The state news agency Anadolu reports 40-year-old Cuma Yasar, who was wearing snowmask, claimed he was carrying explosives and threatened to detonate them. Yasar demanded the pilot return to Oslo, Norway just as the plane was about to land at the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul.
Passengers Firat Faysal Ali and Dag Gjerstad tackled Yasar and held him until the plane landed safely and authorities took him into custody. Anadolu reports no explosives were found on Yasar. Yasar is reportedly mentally ill.
