AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #14 Missouri Tigers Get Late Field Goal to Top Baylor Bears in Big 12 Play

Chase Daniel was 30/38 passing for 318 yards and three touchdowns, Tommy Saunders had 109 yards receiving and a TD and Jeff Wolfert kicked a 34-yard field goal in the closing minutes to lift the #14 Missouri Tigers (7-2, 3-2) past the Baylor Bears (3-6, 1-4) 31-28 in Big 12 action on Saturday.

Daniel tossed a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, a 3-yarder to Chase Coffman and a 19-yarder to Saunders, to give the Tigers a 14-0 advantage and it looked like Missouri would have little trouble against the Bears.

Baylor did answer in the second quarter as Robert Griffin scored from 4-yards out but Missouri got the points back when Jimmy Jackson found the endzone from a yard out and Missouri was up 21-7 at halftime.

The Bears stormed back in the third quarter though as Ray Sims scored from 2-yards out and then Griffin tossed a 16-yard TD to Bard Taylor to tie the game at 21-21 heading into the final frame.

Daniel stopped the bleeding for the Tigers in the opening seconds of the fourth, hitting Coffman on a 13-yard touchdown pass to reclaim the lead but the Bears answered on their next drive as Griffin found Jay Finley on a 36-yard touchdown to bring the game even at 28-28.

With 2:31 left in the game the Tigers managed to get Wolfert on the field and he connected from 34-yards out and the 31-28 lead would hold.

Missouri will face Kansas State next week while Baylor takes on Texas.
