AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #5 Florida Gators Embarrass #8 Georgia Bulldogs in SEC Clash

Tim Tebow was 10/13 passing for 154 yards and two touchdowns and added 39 yards rushing and 3 TDs, Emmanuel Moody added 71 yards rushing, Percy Harvin collected 52 yards receiving and the #5 Florida Gators (7-1, 5-1) defense picked off Matt Stafford three times in a 49-10 blasting of the #8 Georgia Bulldogs (7-2, 4-2) in a key SEC showdown on Saturday.

Florida was first on the board as Percy Harvin scored on a 13-yard run with 20 seconds left in the first quarter. The Bulldogs cut their deficit to 7-3 in the second quarter when Blair Walsh booted a 35-yard field goal but that was as close as Georgia would get as the Gators dominated the rest of the way.

With the score 14-3 in the third quarter Tebow scored his second rushing touchdown of the game on a one-yard run and less than three minutes later Louis Murphy was in the endzone on a 44-yard toss from Tebow. Florida would score their third touchdown of the third quarter two minutes later when Tebow went straight in from eight yards out and the Gators were up 35-3.

Tebow then threw his second touchdown of the game early in the fourth, hitting Harvin on a 25-yard pass and the Bulldogs were stunned. Florida would tack on another touchdown before Georgia found the endzone with just over three minutes left in the game.

With the win the Florida Gators jumped to the lead in the SEC East and are now in position to play in the SEC Championship and with a win they could find a spot in the BCS title game.

Florida will travel to Vanderbilt next week while Georgia takes on Kentucky.
