AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #7 USC Trojans Blast Washington Huskies in Pac 10 Play

Mark Sanchez was 15/19 for 167 yards and two touchdowns, CJ Gable rushed for 108 yards and a pair of TDs and Patrick Turner pulled in six receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns as the #7 USC Trojans (7-1, 5-1) blasted the Washington Huskies (0-8, 0-5) 56-0 on Saturday.

The Trojans wasted little time jumping on the Huskies, putting 21 points on the board in the first quarter as Sanchez tossed both of his TDs to Turner and Gable scored on a 9-yard run. USC’s offense matched its first quarter output in the second quarter with Sanchez scoring on a one-yard run, Stafon Johnson had a one-yard TD run and Gabel had his second rushing touchdown, a 6-yarder to put the score at 42-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter the Trojans stayed on the ground and found the endzone with Broderick Green scoring from 5-yards out and in the fourth Marc Tyler wrapped up the blowout with a 6-yard run.

USC racked up 297 yards of rushing against the Huskies and their defense forced three turnovers in the game.

USC will face California next week while Washington takes on Arizona State.
