Dave Vitty's fake tan hopes

Dave Vitty is hoping his fake tan distracts viewers from his lack of coordination on 'Dancing On Ice'.

The Radio 1 DJ - who is partnered alongside professional skater Frankie Poultney on the ITV1 show - admitted while his training is going well, he wants his "orange" fake tan to be so mesmerising that people won't notice his lack of ability on the ice.

Writing on his twitter page, he said: "The training is going good ta & the tan is rich! I figure that looking orange will detract from my lack of coordination & ability! I still smell a little bit like biscuits.

"I'm getting browner by the day! So much so that somebody at Slough Ice rink today asked if I'd been on holiday (sic)."

However, it would appear the comedian hasn't been able to totally adhere to his strict training regime, and is still indulging in full English breakfasts once his sessions on the ice are over.

He tweeted yesterday (06.01.11): "Been skating this morning and had a full English on the way home, so i'm now feeling both smug and guilty in equal measures."
