Adele blasts non-organic rappers

Adele doesn't like British stars who rap over "Swedish dance music".

The 'Rolling In The Deep' hitmaker supports the present young crop of UK hip hop talent, but doesn't like the synthetic musical production which backs their rhymes.

She said: "I love Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder and that all that lot are doing so well, but I hate that they're having to rap over Swedish dance music - I find it really discouraging."

It is not clear which tracks Adele was referring to, but rapper Tinie Tempah released a track called 'Miami 2 Ibiza' last year, which featured production team Swedish House Mafia. Both of the other artists she mentioned, however, have also recorded tracks with a similar dance influenced sound.

Adele added: "I want to make organic music, just me and my band in a room, sticking to my roots. Whether it succeeds or not, at least I can hold my head high."

The 22-year-old singer also said she wanted her second record to better reflect her sense of fun and not be as serious as her debut, '19'.

She told RWD magazine: "I wanted to be a bit more playful. Everyone thinks I'm so serious because of '19' - musically and lyrically it's quite a sombre record. But I like having fun and making people laugh. I'm tongue in cheek and mouthy.

"I'm very much a 22-year-old, so I wanted to be a bit more like that, which I think I've done."

'21' is released on Jan 24.
