'Coronation Street' star Graeme Hawley believes his character John Stape is about to have a nervous breakdown.
The murderous teacher has already accidentally killed Colin Fishwick and buried him under the floor of the street's cobbles and ended the life of his blackmailer Charlotte Hoyle and Graeme believes he may soon get his comeuppance.
He said: "He's on the verge of a nervous breakdown and is an even looser canon that Charlotte was. He doesn't know left from right or up from down at the moment."
He reveals things begin to be noticed by Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) - the brother of his wife Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) - who pins his unusual behaviour on the tram crash on the street, and the premature birth of his daughter hope.
He added: "Ches notices something is up. But given that people have died in the tram crash and Hope is poorly, you'd expect John to be anxious."
Despite John'sa behaviour attracting suspicion, Graeme still does not know exactly when the story will conclude because 'Corrie' scriptwriters keep changing their mind.
He told What's On TV magazine: "They keep telling me they will have to wrap this storyline up, but keep coming back with new twists.
"Maybe John will break soap code and get away with murder. Who knows?"
