Denmark's Princess Mary is believed to be in labour after her husband's was spotted rushing to the hospital she has been admitted to.
Crown Prince Frederik, 42, was spotted dashing to the maternity ward of Copenhagen's Rigshopitalet - where he was met by a senior doctor - in the early hours of this morning (07.11.10) in the family's red station wagon.
However a royal spokesperson has insisted it was "too early" to say if the 38-year-old princess was in labour and that his dash to the hospital could have been for a "meeting".
Princess Mary, - whose due date is in mid-January - has decided to give birth naturally, but will undergo an emergency caesarean if there are any problems, the palace has revealed.
Crown Princess Frederik - who already has two children Prince Christian, five, and Princess Isabella, three, with Mary - is also said to have a place on the birthing team and will be on hand with a midwife, two doctors and a paediatrician in the closed maternity ward.
It has also been reported that two resuscitation machines have been added to Mary's birthing room.
Windows of the three rooms on the second floor of the hospital have also been blacked out in preparation for the birth.
