NFL Scores Week 9: Arizona Cardinals Roll to Easy Road Win Over St. Louis Rams

Kurt Warner was 23/34 passing for 342 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Tim Hightower rushed for 102 yards and a TD and Anquan Boldin had 85 yards receiving and a score as the Arizona Cardinals (5-3) rolled past the St. Louis Rams (2-6) 34-13 on Sunday in NFC West action.

The Rams jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter after Marc Bulger hit Derek Stanley on an 80-yard touchdown pass but the Cardinals would answer in the second quarter as Antrel Rolle picked off Bulger and he returned it 40 yards for the tying score. Neil Rackers gave Arizona the lead 10-7 with a 36-yard field goal and the Cardinals never looked back.

Hightower added a 30-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Warner hooked up with Jerheme Urban on a 56-yrd touchdown pass as Arizona went into the half with a 24-7 lead.

That was boosted to 31-7 late in the third quarter when Warner found Boldin on a 7-yard toss.

The Rams got in the endzone in the fourth quarter when Bulger hit Torry Holt on a 3-yard toss but their two-point attempt failed. Rackers then finished out the scoring for the Cardinals with a 30-yard field goal.
