Sean Tully is set for "eventful times" in 'Coronation Street'.
The Rovers Return barman - played by Antony Cotton - will see his life take a turn for the better when former lover Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) returns to Weatherfield after a two-year absence.
An announcement on the soap's official website read: "There are eventful times ahead for Sean Tully as his old flame Marcus Dent returns to the cobbles.
"Marcus arrives back in Weatherfield and the relationship between him and Sean is rekindled."
It has previously been reported that the couple will marry in a future storyline, but the soap have not confirmed the claims.
Marcus walked out on Sean in 2008 because he couldn't cope with his jealousy, but the male midwife's reintroduction to the show is believed to see him offer the ultimate commitment to his former lover.
An insider revealed recently: "When Marcus turns up in Weatherfield in the spring he is desperate to rekindle his romance.
"But having hurt him once, Sean is apprehensive until Marcus offers him commitment, with the future storyline leading to Corrie's first same sex marriage."
Charlie is due to begin filming again in March.
