Jonathan Ross doesn't watch talk shows

Jonathan Ross doesn't watch British talk shows.

The 50-year-old broadcaster insists he never tunes into 'The Graham Norton Show' - which occupies the BBC1 Friday night slot his own show did for nine years until 2010 - but says it is nothing personal against the Irish host.

He explained on TV show 'Daybreak': "I never used to watch him when he was on Monday nights, so I don't watch him when he's on Friday now.

"I don't tend to watch British talk shows so much because, no disrespect to any of them, but I sometimes watch American ones. But British ones really - because I kind of feel I know how to do it - you know, sometimes if there's a guest I really want to see on, but I haven't watched his new series, no."

Jonathan's one-off new programme, 'Penn and Teller: Fool Us' - which features members of the public trying their tricks on the legendary conjurors - airs in the UK on ITV1 tonight (07.01.11) and the presenter is hopeful to bring the show to the US if it is successful.

An insider said recently: "September Films are taking Jonathan to the US to pilot his ITV show and they think he can be a star over there.

"They have big plans for him and they think his type of presenting will go down really well. Magic is also being seen as the next big thing."
