Iran’s Interior Minister Ali Kordan Impeached after Admitting Oxford Degree was Forgery

Iran’s Interior Minister Ali Kordan has been impeached by members of parliament after it was discovered a degree he claimed to have held from Oxford University was nothing more than a forgery.

Of the 247 members of parliament 188 voted to impeach Kordan yet Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called the proceeding illegitimate and it remains to be seen if he will accept the vote.

Kordan has admitted the degree, which was full of misspellings and grammatical errors, was a forgery.
