Denmark's Princess Mary introduced her two eldest children to their twin siblings for the first time yesterday (10.01.11).
The 38-year-old princess and husband Crown Prince Frederik proudly showed their newborn baby boy and girl - who were born on Saturday - to Prince Christian, five, and three-year-old Princess Isabella.
The young royals were brought to Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet hospital by their Australian grandfather John Donaldson, 69, who has been babysitting them over the past few days.
In order to avoid the crowd of media and royal fans outside the clinic, they entered the private wards through a tunnel into an underground car park where they took a lift to visit their mother and new siblings.
Christian and Isabella are still getting used to having two new babies in the family, according to their father - who has dubbed the twins "double trouble".
He told Australia's Herald Sun newspaper: "It is still quite unrealistic for them, even though they have been following their mother's beautiful growing stomach."
Mary is said to be "doing well" and is already walking around the ward.
The names of the two newborns - who were born 26 minutes apart - will not be revealed until their mother announces them at their christening in three months' time.
The princess had planned to introduce the children to the babies shortly after their birth on Saturday at 10.30am but delayed the visit after Christian fell ill with a cold.
