Nadia Sawalha thinks the way she was eliminated from 'Dancing On Ice' was "harsh".
The 46-year-old actress - who alongside newsreader Angela Rippon was the first celebrity to be voted off the ITV1 show on Sunday night (09.01.11) - explained audiences didn't have time to vote for her following her skate-off against children's TV presenter Laura Hamilton.
She said: "What was even harsher was that I'd only just left the ice after my skate-off and then someone says, 'Lines are now closed'. I was like, 'Oh right? Did I really need to do the skate-off?' There was no time to vote for me anyway as I went last."
However, the former 'EastEnders' star admitted she understands the "evil" nature of TV, and realised the show's contestants are just "pawns in a game".
Nadia added to Digital Spy: "I have my own production company, so I understand how it works and that we are just pawns in a game. These shows are not made for us to have fun. I like watching evil as much as everyone else. I like the celebs being put in a box of rats in the jungle.
"Nobody would watch a load of nice people having a nice time showing off their lovely skating skills for a few weeks and then going home."
