'X Factor' reject Gamu Nhengu has been signed by 50 Cent.
The Zimbabwe-born teenage singer - who caused a public outcry when she was left out of the live stages of the ITV1 show by judge Cheryl Cole - has signed up to the US rapper's new record label G-Note under the name Miss Gamucharai.
A statement on the company's website revealed: "Miss Gamuchirai has been singed to 50 Cent's new record label, G-Note!
"G-Note will focus on 50´s favourite acts that don't fit neatly into G-Unit's hip-hop categorisation and will favour pop and R&B artists."
However, it would appear the 'Baby By Me' hitmakers wasn't the only star keen to sign the 18-year-old singer.
An insider told gossip website Microblogbuzz: "It is believed that many labels have been interested in signing Gamu but G-Note offered the best deal and are best connected to make her dreams reality."
This won't be Gamu's first foray into the music world since her 'X Factor' appearance. The teenage singing sensation recently teamed up with her former music teacher David Clifford to record a festive track for Stirling-based children's charity Aberlour.
