Katie Holmes becomes face of Ann Taylor

Katie Holmes has been named as the new face of Ann Taylor.

The stunning actress will front the fashion house's spring 2011 advertising campaign, which will begin in March.

The nautical-inspired collection will see updates on a number of classic designs from the brand, including tailored trousers, sleek jackets and lots of navy and white stripes. The range will also include bright yellow and green citrine-shade handbags and shoes, which are featured in the ads with Katie in them.

Katie, 32, said: "I've been a fan of Ann Taylor since I was a young girl - I grew up loving the clothes. I'm thrilled to be a part of a brand I believe in.

"I applaud women who are doing their best to be the best versions of themselves and who are working really hard. And I'm glad that there is a store like Ann Taylor that can offer amazing styles for the many different roles that women play."

Actress Naomi Watts and model Heidi Klum have previously appeared in adverts for the brand, while other celebrity fans of Ann Taylor include Halle Berry and Rachel Bilson.

Katie has previously appeared in campaigns for J. Crew and Miu Miu, while she has her own fashion line Holmes & Yang, with her personal stylist.
