Prince Charles' flirty request

Britain's Prince Charles propositioned a beautiful model at a party, she has claimed - and asked for a "private catwalk show".

Tasha de Vasconcelos says in her book 'Beauty As A Weapon' that the "elegant and seductive" heir to the throne" flirted with her at a soiree in 1999 at the Duke of Northumberland's London home.

With his now wife Camilla Parker-Bowles also in the room, the Mozambique-born beauty, 42, claims in an extract from her autobiography: "During the evening, I saw his eyes glance over my necklace, which lit up my face, and to the more intimate attractions of the curves beneath my Versace dress."

The book continues: "'You are magnificent', he dared to utter. 'Would you ever consider a private catwalk show... just for me?'"

She claims it wasn't the only time she shared amorous exchanges with the prince, now 62, during their friendship between 1999 and 2000.

He also praised her designer dress at a Macmillan cancer charity bash - which she claims infuriated Camilla, who was accompanying the prince that evening as his date, before marrying him five years later in 2005.

Tasha said: "Charles came up to me anyway to tell me how beautiful my dress was. A way of reminding me, I suppose, that he was still interested in what was inside it. Camilla didn't utter a single word to me for the whole night."

Charles first met the half-Portuguese beauty at a polo match in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in 1999 after being introduced by his brother Prince Andrew's girlfriend at the time, publicist Aurelia Stephenson.

She added of Charles: "Discreet. Charming. But always a charmer. I must say he was my kind of man."

A Clarence House spokesperson has refused to comment on "private conversations".
