Dancing On Ice boys 'obsessed with fake tan'

Dancing On Ice's male contestants are obsessed with fake tan.

Nadia Sawalha - who was eliminated from the ITV1 skating show on Sunday night (09.01.11) - explained the men wanted to pretend they were "forced" into tanning themselves when really they were "desperate" to have it done.

She told Digital Spy: "I'll tell you what really happened with the fake tan. I have never seen men so eager to have their fake tan done. They kept saying, 'I've got to have it done, I've got to have it done'. I was the only person who didn't get a fake tan, which ruined it for these men, because they'd been telling people that they were getting forced into having the tan.

"But I'll tell you how desperate they were for this tan, ITV only have two women working on it because they are so tight, so that meant there were still people waiting at 11pm for their fake tan."

Radio 1 DJ Dave Vitty - better known as Chris Moyles' sidekick Comedy Dave - recently admitted he hopes his deep fake tan will distract viewers from his lack of ability on the ice.

He tweeted: "The training is going good & the tan is rich! I figure that looking orange will detract from my lack of coordination & ability! I still smell a little bit like biscuits.

"I'm getting browner by the day! So much so that somebody at Slough Ice rink today asked if I'd been on holiday (sic)."
