Basshunter has denied sexual assault claims made against him in court.
The Swedish Europop hitmaker appeared in a Scottish court today (12.01.11), to answer to two charges of sexual assaulting made by female fans after a nightclub show in the town of Fife last December.
Basshunter - real name Jonas Erik Altberg - appeared in court with his manager where he entered his plea and was told he will stand trial in May. He is presently free on bail.
The allegations against the 26 year old star are that he grabbed one girl by the hair and pushed her head towards his private parts. A second charge alleges he grabbed another girl and also pushed her towards his crotch, then bent her over.
Basshunter refused to comment on the case outside court.
After the incident in December, the 'Now You're Gone' hitmaker's manager, Scott Simons, described the allegations as "totally untrue".
The nightclub where the incidents allegedly took place issued an apology to customers, however, and said of Basshunter: "We were totally embarrassed by his conduct."
