Eminem to perform at Grammys

Eminem and Katy Perry have been confirmed to perform at this year's Grammy awards.

Rapper Eminem - who leads this year's nominations with ten nods in ten categories - will take to the stage at the Los Angeles awards ceremony on February 13, according to MTV.

While it is not known what songs he will perform, Eminem scored two huge singles in 2010, with 'Not Afraid' and 'Love The Way You Lie' from his 'Recovery' album - a record that deals with his recuperation from prescription drug addiction - which is nominated in the 'Best Album' category.

In a video about the star for the Grammys promotional campaign, Eminem's life and struggle to the top is illustrated, from the trailer park where he was raised, to a digitalised cemetery paying respects to his deceased friends Proof and Ronnie.

A voiceover states: "Music is a last chance, a last hope, a last shot. Music is turning demons into demos into multiplatinum monsters. Music is battling through the haze."

Meanwhile Katy Perry - who is nominated for four Grammys - and indie group Arcade Fire, who are up for three awards, will also perform at the show. Yesterday (12.01.11) Lady Gaga confirmed she too, will sing at the event.

While Eminem leads nominations, Bruno Mars follows him with seven nominations, followed by rapper Jay-Z, country group Lady Antebellum, and Lady Gaga who are up for six awards each.
