Russia to Deploy Missiles Deployed to Baltic Region to “Neutralize” U.S. Anti-Missile Shield

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has announced Russia will move missiles to the Baltic region of Kaliningrad near Poland as a means of “neutralizing” the United States’ planned anti-missile defense shield.

Russia was outraged when the U.S. announced plans to construct their anti-missile shield in Poland and Czech Republic and while the U.S. declared it to be protection from “rogue” nations Russia called it a threat to their own security.

During his state of the nation speech Medvedev declared the missile deployment would be positioned between NATO nations Poland and Lithuania.
