Jessie J's honest album

Jessie J's debut album, 'Who You Are', will give "a very honest" view of her.

The singer said debut single 'Do it Like A Dude' - a track taking a swipe at egotistical male swagger - isn't representative of how her debut will sound, with her album having more tender, self-reflective moments.

She told MTV: "I kind of wanted to take a risk on one album being quite eclectic. It gives a very honest impression.

"I think you get to know me as well, my personality, my humour, my emotions, what makes me sad, what makes me angry. I think it's really relatable, which I think is very important. I can't wait for it to come out."

Jessie has previously written songs for Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown, while Britney Spears and Willow Smith have recorded tracks she has written which may appear on their albums - but despite being a songwriter to the stars, Jessie is determined to build up a fan base in a traditional way.

She added: "I wanna do shows and get people talking and do it the organic way."
