Hollyoaks' 3,000th episode 'to go with a bang'

Hollyoaks' upcoming 3,000th episode will "go with a bang".

Rachel Shenton - who plays wannabe glamour model Mitzeee Minniver in the Channel 4 soap - explained all of the cast rallied together to make sure the milestone show was "extra special".

She explained: "The main thing was that everyone just wanted the episode to go with a bang, which was the desired effect. Everyone definitely wanted to make sure that it was extra special."

After bribing village bad boy Brendan Brady (Emmett J. Scanlan) when she found out about his secret relationship with Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), Rachel's ditzy alter-ego decides to get as much attention as possible during the episode in the hope of kick-starting her modelling career.

However, her efforts could result in disastrous consequences.

She added to Digital Spy: "It's true Mitzeee style, this! She turns up at a big gig for Guy Candy - the band that Lee (Alex Carter) has put together - and her plan is to upstage them.

"She desperately wants to steal their thunder because she's heard that the event is going to be quite high-profile, which is right up her street! And the way to upstage them - of course - is to arrive on horseback Lady Godiva-style! So that's what she does!"
