An American woman was left stunned after she found a huge stash of drugs in her new vacuum.
The unnamed lady from Green Bay, Wisconsin, was given a refurbished vacuum for Christmas by her children but when she opened the box not only did she discover the cleaning device but also two pounds of crystal methamphetamine and 2.2 pounds of cocaine.
She called the police who discovered the illegal substances had been shrink-wrapped and had a street value of around $280,000.
Investigating officer Lieutenant David Poteat believes a smuggler placed the drugs in the packaging before it was shipped from Juarez, Mexico, where it had been restored.
Nobody, including workers at the store which sold the product, noticed the drugs and Sheriff's officials are now conducting further investigations.
