Crown Princess Mary makes 'elegant and stylish' list

Denmark's Crown Princess Mary has been voted the third most attractive and elegant woman in the world.

The 38-year old style icon - wife of Crown Prince Frederik - took third place behind Angelina Jolie and British singer Leona Lewis in the poll conducted by Hello magazine.

Mary - who gave birth to twins earlier this month and has two other children Prince Christian, five, and Princess Isabella, three - received 9,842 votes from readers all over the world, which amounted to 15 per cent of the total count.

She is not the first royal to appear in the poll, with Jordan's Queen Rania, voted in to fourth place last year.

A close friend of Prince Frederik said: "Frederik and Mary have said they are modern people and they want their children to have a normal upbringing and have a fun childhood as normal as it possibly could be."

Following Mary in this year's poll are 'Harry Potter' actress Emma Watson in fourth place and singer Christina Aguilera in fifth.

However despite being heralded one of the most stylish women in the world, the princess wants to give her young family a "normal" life.
