Hoff hands out religious advice

David Hasselhoff has been giving religious advice to contestants on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The former 'Baywatch' hunk - who is joined on the judging panel by actress Amanda Holden and comedian Michael McIntyre - has been telling nervous hopefuls on the ITV1 talent show to show their faith in God and he will help them get through.

An audience member at the auditions in Glasgow told The Sun newspaper: "The Hoff was being very strange as he kept name-dropping God all the time. He seemed convinced that challenging God would help people and kept repeating it like a mantra.

"A lot of the people he was saying it to seemed pretty baffled by it and wondered whether it was some kind of holy order. Still, it seemed to work wonders on some of the wannabes who became more relaxed. It was certainly very odd but he made people laugh, as he has such a presence."

David - who is making his debut on the show - says he's been impressed with the people auditioning for the show, even though some of the acts are quite bizarre.

He said: "So far we've found some amazing singers and amazing dancers. But I don't care if it's a dog, a cat, a dance act. I don't care as long as it's got a passion."
