Kate Middleton to keep dress designer a secret

Kate Middleton will not announce who is making her wedding dress until the big day itself.

The brunette beauty is set to wed Prince William on April 29 and while speculation has been rife as to who will design her gown, Kate is keen to keep it a secret as she doesn't want the future king to have any idea about it.

A Clarence House spokesperson told vogue.com: "We have no announcement to make as regards the royal wedding dress. Miss Middleton would like for it to be a surprise for Prince William on the day of their wedding and as such we may not announce it until the day. That may change - but for now that is all that can be said.

"April 29 will be very much their day and they are involved in every aspect of all the decisions being made about how the day will work. It's a complicated process and it takes time."

It had been reported 29-year-old Kate had chosen British sartorialist Bruce Oldfield to create her wedding dress after designer Ben de Lisi insisted he knew Bruce had been handed the task.

He said: "I've heard it is Bruce Oldfield. I'm absolutely certain I won't get chosen; I'm sure I'm not in the running."

Earlier this month, Kate's mother and sister were seen visiting Bruce at his London store.
