AP Top 25 College Football Tuesday Night: #14 Ball State Cardinals Put Perfect Record on Line against the Miami (OH) RedHawks

The #14 Ball State Cardinals (9-0, 5-0) will be traveling to Oxford, Ohio on Tuesday night to take on their MAC rival Miami (OH) Redhawks (2-7, 1-4) and they’ll be looking to keep their dream of a BCS bowl berth alive and chase down a conference title.

The Cardinals feature the nation’s #11 offense, averaging 38.3 points per game with junior running back MiQuale Lewis leading the charge with an average of 123.11 yards per game while scoring 15 TDs on the ground. Ball State’s been getting it done through the air as well as junior QB Nate Davis has thrown for an average of 262 yards per game and tossed 19 TDs while being picked off just five times.

It hasn’t been all offense for the Cardinals as they’ve put together the #9 scoring defense in the nation, allowing just 15.3 points per game while earning a +9 in turnovers.

Miami will have its work cut out for them as they put the #109 ranked scoring offense on the field, averaging just over 18 points per game while putting together 327 yards per contest.
