Close-Up TV News recognizes Hargrave & Hargrave

Close-Up TV News recognizes Hargrave & Hargrave as a leader in the field of foundation repair and construction.

Sinking foundations, cracked and buckled walls and uneven floors are problems commonly faced annually by some quarter-million homeowners. Homes and other structures situated on unstable soil settle when their foundations are subjected to extreme moisture or lack of proper drainage. A shifting foundation may result in structural damage to your home and a loss of your investment.

Since 1979, the family owned-and-operated Hargrave & Hargrave has stood at the forefront in the field of foundation repairs. Hargrave & Hargrave provide the supports that literally lift your home off the ground to allow for proper foundational repair.

Hargrave & Hargrave work all over the region, from New Mexico to Tennessee, although they concentrate primarily on the area between Abilene and Texarkana, Houston and the southern part of Oklahoma.

“And we do much more than just foundation repair,” says Randy Hargrave.  “We do piers for swimming pools before they pour the Gunite shell.  We do retaining wall repairs.  We do piers for new construction.”

These piers used for new construction are the Chance Helical Piers. Many builders don’t use any kind of pier system when building new construction or swimming pools, but having piers in place during initial construction will prevent problems from happening in the future.  For new deep foundations Chance Helical Piers are installed at intervals between the footing forms and tie into the rebar gridwork prior to pouring concrete.  Then the steel piers are extended to depths attaining the installing torque correlated to the required load bearing capacity.  There is no excavation or spoils to remove and loads may be immediately applied. Chance Helical Piers also install in limited access situations and in any weather condition.

“With the Chance Helical Pier, we can install 10 to 20 piers in day,” says Hargrave.  “With concrete piers, a single job takes two or three days. Because of the small equipment needed for the Chance Helical Pier, we can take a larger crew on a jobsite and complete each job quickly and efficiently. I really don’t think you can beat the Chance Helical Pier.”
