Duchess of York's surprise wedding invite

Britain's Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has been invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding.

The 51-year-old former wife of Prince Andrew was thought to be unlikely to receive an invite to the April 29 nuptials after she was caught trying to sell access to her royal ex husband for £500,000 last year but William, 28, has reportedly insisted she receives an invitation when they are sent out next month.

A palace source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "The invitations are being sent out next month and the list is almost finalised. Sarah's invitation was at William's insistence.

"William recognises that she is the mother of his cousins Beatrice and Eugenie and still close to his uncle Andrew.

"William also knows that Sarah was a good friend of his mother Diana and, even though they fell out before her death, they shared a lot over the years."

Meanwhile, Sarah's "comeback" reality TV show has been delayed by Oprah Winfrey for being too "boring".

The US talkshow host signed the duchess up for a six-part series last year as she faced bankruptcy after running up over £2million in debt.

However 'Finding Sarah' - which sees her undergo therapy - has had its spring release date pushed back until the summer after Oprah ordered several re-shoots to make the programme more interesting.

An insider told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Oprah wasn't happy with the show. She found it boring in parts and has ordered reshoots to make it harder hitting and more revealing.'"

A spokesperson for Oprah's new cable channel, OWN Network added: "As of now we're anticipating that it will premiere in the summer."
