Student Killed in Shooting at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale

A 15-year-old female student at Dillard High School has died after being shot in the chest by another female student at the school.

There has been no information released by police about the female shooter but police have taken her into custody and have a gun believed to have been used in the shooting.

Police swarmed to Dillard High School after receiving reports of shots fired and when they entered the school they found the 15-year-old girl unconscious by a snack machine. She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but died from her injuries.

Dillard High School was under lockdown for a brief period of time but it was determined that the incident was isolated and classes resumed.
