SuperCamp's Youth Development Programs Give Students Control of Their Personal Time

The leading academic summer camp, SuperCamp, provides guidance and resources for students who need assistance in maintaining personal growth and consistency. Time constraints, prior commitments, social engagements, and schoolwork-related stress can all conspire against teens and pre-teens, making maintaining harmony difficult.

Without a way to balance their priorities, students can become easily distracted and sometimes fail to notice when they have neglected certain responsibilities – like family time or a meeting with friends. Stress can put a noticeable strain on personal relationships.

Due to lack of life experience, teens and pre-teens may feel this strain more intensely than adults. At a time where social interactions are at the forefront of their minds, students need help balancing their priorities to stay content.

SuperCamp provides students with a framework by which to live their lives. The 8 Keys of Excellence are comprised of these eight principles: Integrity, Speak with Good Purpose, Ownership, Failure Leads To Success, Flexibility, This Is It!, Commitment, and Balance. These principles encourage students to take responsibility for their own actions as well as manage their time effectively.

Students need sufficient preparation for future adult lives full of responsibility. Many teen programs and youth development programs provide study skills and test-taking tips, but fail to help a student integrate academic work with personal time. This creates a learning deficit that students are forced to overcome on their own.

SuperCamp offers unique guidance through “real-life” activities and a comfortable social environment designed to help students transcend the challenges thrown at them. Students can be the masters of their own fate. Accumulating responsibilities won’t bring fun and enjoyment to a screeching halt when students are able to effectively manage their time.

No matter how they go about life, the life skills they acquire at SuperCamp will allow them to venture outside of their comfort zones and to break personal barriers preventing them from achieving their dreams. Students will not only be able to guide themselves, but also others down the road toward success.

Interactions with teachers, family, and friends can be stress-free when students have ceased to worry about social engagements conflicting with their academic career. As leaders of their own lives, the lessons they learn along the way will only strengthen their resolve to overcome obstacles and forge ahead onto a new path of their own creation.
