Alex Jones to co-host dance show with ex-boyfriend Steve Jones

Alex Jones is to co-host 'Let's Dance For Comic Relief' with ex-boyfriend Steve Jones.

The 'One Show' host will take over from Claudia Winkleman in fronting the third series of the charity dance contest - which sees celebrities pay tribute to iconic dances, both solo or in groups over three weeks - alongside the regular presenter.

Alex said: "I was a huge fan of 'Let's Dance' last year and can't wait to join Steve and the team. It's come at the perfect time for me having just returned from filming in Africa for Comic Relief where I saw first hand how we can really make a difference."

Already revealed to be taking part are 'Mighty Boosh' star Noel Fielding, comics Russell Kane, Ed Byrne, Andi Osho and Rebecca Front, as well as presenter Penny Smith and interior designers Colin and Justin.

They will tackle famous dances including Beyonce Knowles' 'Crazy In Love', 'I Love To Boogie' from the musical 'Billy Elliot' and Michael Jackson's 'Bad', and Steve can't wait to see the finished performances.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to working with Alex on this year's show. We've got a great line-up and I can't wait to see the performances - I'm anticipating an exciting, flamboyant and ridiculous show!"

The show will have a different judging panel of three comedians - some of whom are previous contestants - each week selecting their favourite two acts to go through to the final.

This year 'Let's Dance For Comic Relief' will highlight the issue of Malaria and will include reports from Steve's visit to Uganda and Alex's trip to Zambia.
