Kenney Chesney and Carrie Underwood Win Big at CMA’s

Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood won big at last night’s Country Music Association Awards. Chesney only won one award, but it was the night’s top honor. Surprise guest Shania Twain presented Chesney with his fourth Prestigious Entertainer of the Year award.

“As much as tonight is about awards, I really believe that being able to stand up here is more about great songs. This is my fourth time standing up here, and I'm really humbled by it," he said as he accepted the trophy.

Besides hosting the awards show with Brad Paisley and performing her hit ‘Just a Dream,’ American Idol champ Carrie Underwood also took home an award. For the third year in a row, Underwood scored the Female Vocalist of the Year award.

Paisley was also a top winner. He took home two awards – the Male Vocalist and Music Video of the Year Award.

Newcomers Lady Antebellum also won a top award – the Horizon Award. Last year’s winner Taylor Swift presented them the trophy saying, “Last year it was the highlight of my senior year when Carrie Underwood presented me with the Horizon Award.”
