DJ Drama Reveals Track List for Lil Wayne's Dedication 3 Mixtape
Lil' Wayne, the Grammy Award-winning rapper, revealed the track list for his latest mixtape The Dedication 3 with DJ Drama on Thursday.
The tracklisting for The Dedication 3 was released by DJ Drama on MTV.com. The mixtape will be released
"It was always Young Money on the tapes, but I think this one is more for what Wayne is doing," said DJ Drama in an interview with MTV. "He knew people would be paying attention to the brand. It was a place for his artists to shine as well."
"I also have my artists Willie the Kid and La the Darkman on the tape," continued DJ Drama. "Just the brands alone, Dedication, Wayne, Gangsta Grillz - it's that strong."
The mixtape is the predecessor of The Dedication and The Dedication 2, which were both done with DJ Drama as one of the Aphiliates Music Group's Gangsta Grillz series. The Dedication 2 was listed as one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2006 despite being just a mixtape.
Lil' Wayne also states that 30 free songs will be available to download the torrent on youngmoneyent.com after the release of Dedication 3.
Lil' Wayne is expected to re-release Tha Carter III with additional tracks. "I think we're gonna release Tha Carter III — a new Carter III with none of the same songs, though," said the rapper in an MTV interview. "We don't wanna call the [next album] we got coming out Tha Carter IV. That was the dilemma we were in. We want Carter IV to be what everybody wants it to be."
"But I do have an album coming soon, very soon, and it's gonna be called ... Tha Carter III: The Rebirth. The birth of a new beginning," continued Lil Wayne.
Tha Carter III: The Rebirth will feature "A Milli (Remix)" with several of the artists that remixed his original "A Milli" song, in addition to "Eat You Alive" with Ludacris.
