'Skins' fans are often "disappointed" when they find out the cast are actually straight-laced.
While the E4 show focuses on the trials and tribulations of a wayward bunch of British teens, Freya Mavor - who plays popular princess Mini McGuiness - admitted although she and her co-stars get naked plenty of times in the series, they wouldn't do "half the things" their 'Skins' alter-egos get up to.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think a lot of fans are disappointed when they find out we don't actually take drugs in real life or do half the things our characters do on the show. Can you imagine if Channel 4 actually gave us crack?
"We do get naked a lot though! As much as the sex scenes are awkward, they can also be brilliant because you just end up getting to know one another really, really fast. You'd be sat there chatting to someone and there'd be a couple of cast members like humping in the corner!"
Meanwhile, 'Golden Compass' star Dakota Blue Richards - who plays androgynous new girl Franky Fitzgerald - confessed that being a part of the show isn't as cool as people may believe, and the drugs used on set are actually " powdered tobacco or condensed baby milk".
She explained: "In terms of sex, drugs and rock and roll it's not quite as cool as it's made out to be. Put it this way, the drugs are either powdered tobacco or condensed baby milk.
"The sex aspect is just getting naked in front of a room full of people, which is just embarrassing and never really fun."
'Skins' airs on E4 tomorrow night (27.01.11).
