Sam Riley thinks about death "every day".
The 'Brighton Rock' actor admits the fact his regular vices are smoking and drinking alcohol mean he is conscious of his own mortality and often worries about how long he has left.
He said: "I think about death every day at some point. Sometimes just once, other times all day. Is that morbid?
"Being a smoker and a drinker, these thoughts come to me quite often. I ponder death over a beer and a cigarette."
The 31-year-old star also admitted he tries not to get into fights as he always comes off badly.
He admitted to Q magazine: "Years ago, when I was living in Leeds, there was a brief period where fights were a regular occurrence.
"The last time was in a pub when we were winding up a bouncer. He went into the pub next door and asked if anyone wanted to sort us out. There were quite a lot of takers but it only took one guy - he knocked all three of us over with one swing. I'm not built for fighting."
