Mercedes McQueen to become a nun?

Hollyoaks' Mercedes McQueen could be set to become a nun.

Jennifer Metcalfe - who plays the brunette bombshell in the Channel 4 soap - joked that while she thinks her alter-ego will ultimately wind up "in a gutter somewhere", she is so volatile she could end up kissing goodbye to her wild ways altogether.

She told BANG Showbiz: "Mercedes is bad, bad, bad. She has every intention of being good but all her actions turn out bad.

"She'll probably in a gutter somewhere, that girl could do anything. She'll probably be a nun or something next!"

The 27-year-old actress - who is currently taking part in 'Dancing On Ice' - also admitted she is learning French in the hope of impressing her rumoured Parisian boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon, who is also her professional skating partner.

Speaking at last night's (26.01.11) National Television Awards at London's 02 Arena, Jennifer added: "I'm trying to learn French. It's good. Taking part in 'Dancing On Ice' is such a great experience, I'm really enjoying it."
