Carine Roitfeld's replacement Emmanuelle Alt is not planning any drastic changes at French Vogue.
41-year-old fashionista Emmanuelle will take over the role of editor-in-chief at the prestigious magazine next Tuesday (01.02.11) but revealed while she has some new ideas, she doesn't think the publication needs a complete overhaul.
She told Britain's Daily Telegraph: "French Vogue today is a successful magazine and it has a strong identity, so it will probably stay along the same lines. But, I mean, some things will change of course, because we have a different eye - It will be the same, but different!"
Emmanuelle said fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier inspired her to enter the fashion industry when she saw his first show but admitted her taste is more high street than designer as she loves British store Topshop.
She said: "My first fashion show was a Jean Paul Gaultier show when he was at Porte de la Vilette and it was crazy outside. I loved it! I was like 'Oh wow, this is really funny!'
"My jeans are Topshop - I love Topshop. When I go to London my first thing to do is I put my stuff in the hotel and I run to Topshop - they have the best jeans!"
