Kim Cattrall found it "heaven" gaining weight for movie 'Meet Monica Velour'.
The 54-year-old actress - famed for playing man-eating character Samantha Jones in six TV series and two movies of 'Sex and the City' - relished the opportunity to put on the pounds to play an ageing stripper in the movie, but did not enjoy having to lose it afterwards.
She said: "I play an over-the-hill stripper. I gained 15 pounds, then through the course of shooting, I gained another five. It was heaven putting it on and hell taking it off."
However she admits the story - about a boy who falls in love with her character - is "very sweet".
She said: "It's about this woman in her 50s who meets this young man who's 17 and they have a relationship of sorts. It's very sweet and very dear."
Discussing the chances of a third 'Sex and the City' movie being made, Kim admits she hopes it might happen because she misses the other actresses - Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
She told Extra: "I miss the girls. We've all been so busy since the show ended, privately and professionally."
'Sex and the City 2' was critically panned on its release in 2010, but went on to make $288 million worldwide.
