Mystery of stranded piano

A grand piano has mysteriously appeared on a sandbar in Florida.

Karla Murray, 42, was walking on Biscayne Bay when she saw the instrument stranded about 200 yards away and swam out to investigate.

She said it appeared to be damaged and charred as though someone had set it on fire but there were no further clues.

Now locals are speculating on whether the piano was placed there for a music video, romantic date or marketing stunt, as the sandbar is close to the upmarket South Beach area known for its glitzy clubs and nightlife.
